Arriate Guide 2009

Category: . Tags: , .

A tiny island in the heart of the Serrania de Ronda, the fiercely independent town of Arriate is today one of the fastest growing towns in Malaga province. A combination of its excellent local shops, a nature-loving local population – and of course, its proximity to Ronda – has seen the town grow by around 20 per cent over recent years. Known for its celebrated ham and its midnight bell ringers, there is no doubt that Arriate-heralding from the Arabic word Arriadh – is a little different.
